Bryant told Insider this week that he went to see a screening of the franchise’s horror film at 10:05 p.m. that evening. He said he wasn’t particularly sleepy at the time, but he said the first part of the film was “pretty boring”, and that the combination of air conditioning and comfortable chairs made him feel so at ease. so comfortable that he ended up dozing off.

The running time of “The Exorcist: Believer” is only 2 hours and 12 minutes, so it should have left shortly after midnight.

“Why the fuck did I fall asleep in the movie theater?” Bryant said in the video, walking down a desolate AMC hallway. “No one is in the movie theater anymore, brother. No one.”

It then showed viewers an empty lobby and snack area, with the lights still on. Bryant added that he didn’t believe anyone tried to wake him.

Bryant told Insider that when he woke up, he didn’t immediately say what time it was. He said he only saw the LED lights on the chairs, so he assumed the movie was over. He realized what had happened after he picked up the phone and saw that it was almost 4 a.m. the next day.

“The concession stand was completely empty while I was walking,” he recalled, “so now I’m a little in shock.”

He said the front doors were locked, but he managed to get out through a fire exit when the alarm went off.

In a follow-up TikTok video he shared last week, Bryant confirmed that he didn’t see any people in the theater when he filmed his first TikTok. He said a security guard was present when he arrived at the theater, but that person was gone by the time he woke up.

“As I was walking outside, only my car was there and the outside lights were off,” Bryant told Insider. In total, he said he spent five and a half hours in the AMC room.

The comments on his videos were flooded with people laughing at the bizarre event and joking that movie theater recliners are “dangerous.” Some asked him if he raided the pantry (he said no in the follow-up clip). Other viewers shared similar experiences, including one woman who said she went on a date with a man who fell asleep during the movie. “After the movie finished, I didn’t wake him up and left,” she wrote.

Some commenters expressed shock at how he was able to fall asleep during a movie like “The Exorcist: Believer,” the sixth installment in the horror series about evil spirits and demons.

“The sleep demon has taken over you,” one person joked.

“How the hell did you fall asleep to THIS movie of all movies,” another person asked with laughing emojis.

“That AC,” Bryant replied to the comment.
