
Taylor Swift receives six Grammy nominations
USA TODAY’s Taylor Swift reporter Bryan West discusses Swift’s six Grammy nominations, including song and record of the year.
Britney Spears called Taylor Swift “the most iconic pop woman of our generation” in an Instagram post Saturday evening.
“The Woman in Me” author shared photos of herself from 2003 and 2008 with teenage Swift.
“It’s a long time ago, but pretty cool,” Spears, 41, wrote. “During my Oops tour, I got a knock on my door. My good friend at the time was my manager’s assistant who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I “I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come sing for you. I was like of course!!!”

Swift comes in “and sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow, she’s amazing!!!” » says the legend. “We took a photo, and she went on to become the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Pretty cool, she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos to movies any day. She’s gorgeous!!! Girl crush .”
She added three lipstick emojis in Swift’s signature color.

The nostalgic post lit up Instagram as Swift, 33, lit up the stage for her second night of the Eras tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The pop icon redefined her relationship with Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce on Saturday’s show, changing the lyrics to his hit song “Karma”: “Karma’s the Chiefs guy who comes straight to my house.”
A video posted to social media showed Swift running up to Kelce at the end of the show to hug and kiss him, while the crowd roared in approval. Kelce watched the show from the VIP tent with Swift’s father, Scott Swift, and was seen showing off Swift’s heart-hand symbol.
Swift will perform one final Argentine show on Sunday evening at the Estadio Más Monumental, a replacement concert after rain canceled Friday’s planned date.
