LONDON – Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola tried it again in one classic 4:4 draw Chelsea vs Manchester City player ratings reflect a crazy game at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea player ratings

Robert Sanchez: 7 – Haaland made good saves in the first half and was solid throughout.

Reece James:7 – Great assist for Sterling’s goal and was outstanding in the first half. In the second game he was tired and was substituted.

Axel Disasi:6 – A bit shaky on the ball and had a hard time tracking Haaland.

Thiago Silva:7 – Scored a great header to equalize and did his best to calm the situation.

Marc Cucurella:6 – Recovered well after giving away a penalty for bringing down Haaland. He held out, but it wasn’t easy against Foden, Walker and Alvarez, who kept moving to his side.

Moises Caicedo:7 – Regained the ball on several occasions and helped Chelsea regain control. He has settled in really well.

Enzo Fernandez:6 – Had no real impact on the game and lost Akanji for City’s second goal as he stormed off. Was substituted at the start of the second half and wasn’t happy about it.

Cole Palmer: 8 – Another great display. Great pass before the second goal and almost a goal after a wonderful wrong move. The coolest person at Stamford Bridge who scored the late equaliser.

Conor Gallagher:8 – As always, he was full of action and his thunderous shot led to Chelsea’s third goal. Always wants the ball and is always interested in playing forward.

Raheem Sterling: 8 – He scored his goal against City and was a constant threat as he cut inside and created plenty of chances.

Nicholas Jackson:7 – He scored his goal and even though he had a little trouble with the ball, he never stopped working the channels.

Malo Gusto (substituted for James, 64th minute): 6 – Wasted a great chance but gave Chelsea new attacking impetus on the right.
Mykhailo Mudryk (substituted for Fernandez, 64th minute): 5 – Had no real impact on the game and a few poor results.
Armando Broja (substituted for Caicedo, 90th minute): 6 – Won the penalty for Chelsea’s fourth. A presence.

Manchester City player ratings

Ederson: 6 – Made a great stop to keep out James’ free kick in the first half, but an uncharacteristic mistake that missed a shot led to Chelsea’s third. He had recently received treatment.

Kyle Walker: 7 – His pace saved City several times in the first half as Chelsea tried to fall behind. What a great defender he is.

Ruben Dias:6 – A really tough outing for him as Sterling and Palmer cut inside and made straight runs. He missed the decisive penalty in the 92nd minute.

Manuel Akanji:7 – He scored his goal just before half-time and was kept busy by Chelsea’s rotating forward line.

Josko Gvardiol: 5 – Struggling badly against James and Palmer in the first half and still getting up to Premier League pace. Difficult for him when he is slightly out of position on the left side of the defense.

Rodri:7 – His deflected shot seemed to have given City the win and he loved the midfield battle against Gallagher. His kind of game.

Bernardo Silva: 7 – So smooth on the ball and City were always ahead.

Phil Foden:7 – Great first half as he went close with a curler and then played a big part in Haaland’s second goal.

Julian Alvarez: 7 – Assisted Haaland’s second goal, buzzing around in small spaces.

Jeremy documentary:6 – A couple of good runs in the first half. Booked for diving in the second and then replaced.

Erling Haaland:7 – Scored two goals to cause trouble, but canceled out Thiago Silva’s goal.

Jack Grealish (substituted for Doku, 59th minute): 6 – Had a few good runs but couldn’t find the right final ball.
Mateo Kovacic (substituted for Alvarez, 79th minute): 7 – Some great duels got City going again.
