Late last month, Samsung released the highly anticipated stable version of Android 14 for Galaxy S23 users in select regions, including Germany and Europe. However, the update is now coming to Galaxy S23 devices in the US.
As noted by SamMobile, the stable One UI 6 based on Android 14 is currently rolling out to the carrier-locked Galaxy S23 series. The latest update presents the S91xUSQUBWK4 version number coupled with a November 2023 security patch.
SamMobile further notes that the update is currently available on T-Mobile’s network in the United States and is expected to roll out to other carriers in the coming days or weeks. The new firmware appears to be large as it measures around 3.3 GB, similar to the firmware released in the aforementioned regions.
The changelog screenshots give us an idea of what to expect with the new stable build, which isn’t radically new unlike what we’ve glimpsed in previously released One UI 6 betas . For those who don’t know, the new One UI 6 update includes a redesigned quick settings panel, an improved home screen with new widgets, a new design for emojis, and several notable improvements.
Samsung also announced several AI camera improvements for Galaxy phones with the new OneUI 6 update. New camera features and related editing tools are expected with the latest One UI 6 release.
Since this is a carrier-based update, it also includes a new Verified Business Call feature. It will present verified information about the caller, such as companies and reason for the call. This is similar to what Google is doing on Pixel devices with the Call Screen feature.
Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra owners in the US can access their phone Settings > Software Update > Download and Install to get the latest version of One UI 6.
Samsung has continued to push the boundaries of a smartphone and the Galaxy S23 Ultra is no exception. The device offers an immersive 6.8-inch screen that remains smooth and fluid. Its rear camera array packs a 200 MP camera that can capture your life as crisp and clear as you remember it.
