First star: Riese Gaber, UND, 1 goal, 1 assist.
Second star: Ludvig Persson, 30 save shutout.
Third star: Owen McLaughlin, 2 assists, 8-3 in faceoffs.

UND 1, Minnesota Duluth 0 — Louis Jamernik V 2 (Riese Gaber, Owen McLaughlin) 7:38 (pp). UND turns on its first power play unit and it’s paying off. UND has a great power play with Gaber getting looks from the right flank. The Fighting Hawks finally conceded when Jamernik returned a rebound over Minnesota Duluth goalie Matthew Thiessen. Jamernik has now scored in three straight games against the Bulldogs.

UND 2, Minnesota Duluth 0 — Riese Gaber 5 (Jackson Blake, Owen McLaughlin) 3:05. UND’s top line adds to the lead on a terrific play from Blake. He passes through Duluth defenders in the right circle to get to the slot, then leaves a behind-the-back pass for Gaber, who slots No. 5 this year.

No score.

No change in UND lineup. . . Minnesota Duluth calls on Moorhead’s Kyler Kleven for Kyle Bettens and shuffles its top three lines. The Bulldogs also mix up their second defensive duo. . . UND is seeking a fifth straight victory in Duluth – something it hasn’t achieved since the 1960s. The last time UND did that was between December 19, 1962 and November 29, 1968 .UND has won 13 straight during that span. This is the only time in program history that UND has won five straight in Duluth.
