Activision released a new Zombies mode alongside Modern Warfare 3, but players didn’t respond well to the previous games’ changes.
Modern Warfare 3 was released with Operation Deadbolt, the new Zombies mode that brings significant changes from its predecessors, such as a much larger map and challenges based on objectives rather than turns.
The developers tweaked the mode to make it more like Warzone, a mode that has been hugely successful for the franchise, in the same way they tweaked this year’s campaign that had some streamers like MoistCr1tikal fuming.

But, despite Activision’s hopes that players will enjoy the changes, streamers and players alike are disappointed with Zombies Operation Deadbolt.

Popular and long-time Zombies content creator NoahJ456, known for taking on insane challenges, posted a clip on social media explaining how upset he was with the mode, sparking a community debate.
“The story so far is non-existent, it’s really boring, it’s trash.”

Some people, like one player who retweeted the clip with the caption, disagreed with NoahJ456 and appreciated the changes: “Zombie players when they can’t run around a small map for hours and have a history that requires a doctorate to understand. »

“These are literally the best zombies ever lol,” one fan said. “I love me like a good Easter egg, but many are way too convoluted,” said another.
But, for every comment praising the new Zombies mode, there were more than twice as many complaints about it. “No, they really could have done a better job with the zombies. I feel like them going this route is honestly lazy,” one wrote. “Brother, this zombies mode is pure garbage,” added another.

But even players who didn’t like the new Zombies Operation Deadbolt still found use for it, using this mode to complete the challenges of Modern Warfare 3 Armory.
