*NSYNC

Members unite for the “Trolls”…

Mini Premiere after the strike

The boys of *NSYNC are trying to do some eleventh-hour press work before the “Trolls” movie hits theaters — and one of the ways they’ll plug the product is with a group powwow in front of the cameras .

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ… Justin Timberlake and the other 4 members of the boy band plan to attend a premiere of sorts, later this week in Los Angeles, before the release of the animated film… which comes out Friday.

We know this gathering will take place on Wednesday somewhere in Hollywood – but the exact details are being kept under wraps for now. Our sources, however, say that all the guys started making last-minute travel arrangements until Thursday.

It probably goes without saying… this is happening at the request of studio Universal, who, we’re told, wants to try to introduce *NSYNC to journalists and audiences in any way possible to promote the film. …they obviously know how popular they are as a unit.

Now that the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, almost every major studio is doing just that – rounding up their big stars and trying to gain some momentum amid lackluster box office returns of late. Brie Larson I tried it last week… in vain.

We’re told if the strike would have ended about a month ago… Universal was reportedly planning a massive premiere with all 5 members, but instead they’re holding this slightly smaller event in the hopes that it could hype up “Trolls Band Together.”

None of the *NSYNC guys were able to speak/plug the movie — obviously JT’s voice plays in it, but also Low spear, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez And Chris Kirkpatrick. They all have credits on IMDb…so it seems their work on this topic goes beyond that a nice new song.

Now, if you’re thinking that this public outing as a team is a sign of a bigger reunion tour to come – you’re sadly mistaken… sources tell us that’s not going to happen in the near future. Justin is working on a new album/tour, and scheduling remains an issue. But you should never say never.

It might happen one day…but not now.
