A manhunt was underway Sunday night after a gunman shot five people, killing one outside a Pearland flea market.
The five people, identified by police as three adults and two juveniles, were taken to local hospitals, Pearland police said. One of the juveniles died, Pearland Police Department Officer Chad Rogers said Sunday evening.
The status of the others is unknown.
Police suspect two men were involved in the fatal shooting, Rogers said. The shooter was still at large as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday, and there was no information identifying the suspects.
The first reports of a shooting came in at 5:34 p.m. at 1014 North Main St., outside Cole’s Antique Village and Flea Market, according to Pearland police.

The shooting was not aimed at the flea market, Rogers said. Rather, it was caused by an argument between two people.
Law enforcement is still investigating the number of shots fired at the scene.
Rogers said a “very active” investigation is underway to find the shooter and determine a motive, which police do not currently know.
The shooting happened after the flea market’s opening hours, which according to its website are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
The business is normally packed with thousands of shoppers, Rogers said. But Sunday’s rain might have affected that, he said.
