A week after news broke that Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian had welcomed their first child together, the Blink-182 member pulls back the hospital curtain on how he sparked excitement for the birth of their son.
The rocker posted a TikTok on Thursday showing him wearing sweatpants, sitting behind a drum pad in a Cedars-Sinai hospital room. Surrounded by medical equipment, Barker can be seen rapidly tapping the pad to the beat of the baby’s heart monitor.
“Working out to my baby’s heartbeat,” Barker captioned the minute-long clip, which did not include Kardashian.
The comments section of the post included various opinions about Barker bringing musical equipment with him to the hospital.
“That would have driven me into the wall,” one viewer wrote. “Kourtney has the patience of a saint. Congratulations!”
Another added: “This gives Ken the chance to play guitar at Barbie.”

Earlier this week, a source told PEOPLE that Kardashian and Barker, who married in 2022, were excited about the birth of their son. They added that Barker is “obsessed with their baby boy” and making sure Kardashian “has everything she needs.”
Kardashian announced over the summer that she and Barker were expecting a child by recreating a sign from Blink-182’s “All the Small Things” music video and waving it at one of the band’s concerts. In September, Kardashian revealed she underwent emergency fetal surgery to save their baby, writing, “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life.”
The newborn, whose name has not yet been revealed, is the seventh child in the Kardashian-Barker family. Kardashian shares three children – sons Mason and Reign and daughter Penelope – with ex Scott Disick, while Barker is father to son Landon, daughter Alabama and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya from his previous marriage to Shanna Moakler.
