Many local restaurants and national chains show their appreciation to veterans and active military on Veterans Day by offering free meals or other deals.
At all locations, be prepared to provide proof of service, such as: as a military or VA card, DD214 or discharge papers. For franchised restaurants, participation may vary by location.
Airy Acres Vineyard
Airy Acres Vineyarda small winery at 8011 Footes Corners Road in Interlaken, near Cayuga Lake, offers free wine tastings for vets and active members.
Bill Grays
Bill Grays is offering all veterans and active military members a free cheeseburger, fries and a regular soft drink.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is offering all former and current military members a free order of 10 boneless wings and fries. Only available for dinner. 1046 Ridge Road in Webster and at Stoneridge Plaza at 1500 W. Ridge Road in Greece.
Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Carrabba’s Italian Grill, 3340 West Henrietta Road in Henrietta, is offering a free appetizer or dessert with dinner and a non-alcoholic beverage. It will be available all day with no purchase required. Year-round, Carrabba’s offers a 10% Hero Discount to all military, veterans and first responders.
Denny’s
Denny’s will offer its offer one day in advance. It is offering all active military members and veterans a free Original Grand Slam dinner on Friday, November 10th from 5 p.m. to noon. Denny’s is located at 2890 W. Ridge Road in Greece.
Donuts Delite
Donuts Delite will also be giving away a free donut to veterans and active military on Veterans Day from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 1700 Culver Road and 674 West Ridge Road.
Dunkin’
Dunkin’ is offering veterans and active military a free donut of their choice, no purchase necessary, for in-store redemption only at participating Dunkin’ restaurants nationwide.
Founder Café
Founder Café13 S. Fitzhugh St. in downtown Rochester will serve a free cup of coffee to all veterans and first responders on Nov. 11.
Great American diner
The Great American Diner, 850 Long Pond Road in Greece and 650 Whitney Road in Fairport, is offering veterans a free milkshake on Veterans Day. No purchase is necessary.

Heron Hill Winery9301 County Road 76 in Hammondsport, overlooking Keuka Lake, offers a free daily wine tasting for veterans and active military.
Irondequoit Beer Company
Irondequoit Beer Company765 Titus Ave. in Irondequoit, will give veterans a free pint of beer on Saturday.
Memorial Art Gallery
The Memorial Art Gallery is offering free museum admission to active military members and veterans on November 11th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Outback Steakhouse
Outback Steakhouse is offering all active and retired military members and their spouses a free Bloomin’ Onion to share and one drink each (a soft drink or a 16-ounce domestic keg) with the purchase of an adult entree on November 11th. This offer is for dinner only, excluding tax and gratuity. Military members will also receive a $10 discount voucher to return to the restaurant through December 17th. Outback Steakhouse is located at 1954 W. Ridge Road in Greece.
Perlo’s Restaurant
Perlo’s Restaurant, an Italian restaurant at 202 N. Washington St., East Rochester, is offering veterans a free dessert, no purchase necessary, with dinner only. Options include chocolate cake, turtle cheesecake, cannoli, tiramisu and spumoni.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers welcomes veterans and active military to dine in and enjoy a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger. Red Robin has locations at 740 Jefferson Road in Henrietta, The Mall at Greek Ridge in Greece and 905 Holt Road in Webster.

red lobster will provide veterans, active military and reservists with free printed meal vouchers for Veterans Shrimp & Chips – six hand-breaded and fried shrimp served with cocktail sauce, fries and coleslaw on November 11th from 11am to 4pm Available from November 13th to November 10th. December can only be redeemed for dinner. To redeem, guests must present a valid military ID or proof of service.
RMSC
The RMSC, 657 East Ave., is offering free admission to veterans Nov. 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This can only be redeemed in person at the reception of the Museum & Science Center. The USS Rochester The exhibit is located across from the Museum & Science Center in the Eisenhart Auditorium and is open Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This true floating city became the flagship of the Navy’s 7th Fleet during the Korean War. This exhibition features authentic objects from the ship and hands-on activities.
Salvatore
Salvatore is offering a free 12-inch, one-topping “Thin Thin” pizza to veterans and active military members. Offer only applies to orders for pickup or dine-in. Delivery is not possible.
Starbucks
Starbucks is giving veterans, active military members and spouses a free large 12-ounce hot or iced coffee. Starbucks will also donate $100,000 each to Team Red, White & Blue and the Travis Manion Foundation to support veterans and the military community.
Taste of Rochester
Taste of Rochester at Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport is offering a free Thin Thin Salvatore’s pizza or free Zweigle’s hot dog to any veteran or active military flying through the Rochester airport.
Texas Roadhouse
Texas Roadhouse will honor veterans and active military with a free lunch on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Choose from one of ten meals, including a 6-ounce sirloin with two freshly prepared sides. All meals include a selection of Coca-Cola products, sweet tea/iced tea or coffee. Texas Roadhouse has locations at 3150 W. Henrietta Road in Henrietta and 3065 West Ridge Road in Greece.
War horse brows
War Horse Brewing Co., the microbrewery on site Three Brothers Winery & Estates, 623 Lerch Road in Geneva, is offering veterans and active military a free flight with beer or cider on Nov. 10 and 11. On other days, veterans and active military can enjoy a free pint purchased in advance by brewery customers as part of its “Pint it Forward” program. On Veterans Day, War Horse donates funds from unredeemed pints to the local veterans association; This year’s donation is $3,000.
